Here are some solutions to finding out that a FREE estimate is in order :
Tip #1 ) Toilets are the #1 worst water wasters. To see if your flapper is
leaking, drop about 4 to 6 drops of food coloring in the tank, and let it sit
for about 10 minutes. If you see the food coloring in the bowl, your flapper is
faulty, and needs to be replaced.
Tip #2) To see if you have a water leak make
sure everything is turned off in the house, and go to the water meter, and look
at the dial face. You should see 2 arrows, 1 is the large arrow that spins all
the way around the face. the smaller arrow is a dial use indicator. If all your
faucets are turned off, and the small arrow is spinning, you have a leak
somewhere. See if you have a valve next to the house, and turn it off. If you
still have the small arrow moving, then there is a leak in the pipe
underground, from the meter to the house. If you find this, then a licensed plumber is your best bet.
Tip # 3 )Look for early signs /symptoms that septic tank problems exist. They usually go unnoticed and by the time outward appearance and visible signs occur the problem has moved to your drain field. You can suspect the problem is the drain field if:
• there are odors or persistent wet spots over the field.
• the plumbing becomes sluggish over a period of time, or when it's used heavily, or during wet months
• problems persist even though the tank has been pumped recently
• the septic tank is flooded click here to learn more about drain and leach field problems.
